Hassane Sambaouma

I was born in Hantsmbou (Comoro islands). After primary and secondary school in Moroni I got my first job with the tourism services in the Comoros. During six years I mastered the three islands in terms of sites, birdlife, and endemic flowers and plants.

In 1996 I went to the Omar Bongo University in Gabon, where I studied English for two years before I obtained my Professional Diploma of Tourism at the Institute Superieur de Gestion of the Chekh Anta Diop University in Dakar, Senegal. During my journey in Senegal I worked in two different hotels (Novotel Dakar and Club Med) with the public relations team for three years.

In 2004 I joined the production team of Premium Communication International, a group of France Telecom, where I specialized in advertising and marketing. My job was to promote from Senegal the telephonic products of the head office located in France.

In 2012 when I was back from Senegal, in partnership with some Europeans, we created Agriventures Comoros, based in Anjouan (Comoros). We process and export cloves to Philip Morris management S.A. in Singapore. We are assisting farmers by helping them to use natural engrais (manure) in order to maximize production. My actual position is Manager.

I hope to benefit from this training in that the learning will enhance my skills and enable me to more effectively pursue my ecotourism vision in the Mt Karthala Nature Reserve.
