Beraina Teirane

I am currently a member of the Ministry of Line and Phoenix in Kiribati based in Kiritimati Island. My core job is to execute development planning and managing projects undertaken in the Line and Phoenix Islands. Before joining the Ministry, I have been working with other government departments such as: the National Economic Planning Office, the Kiribati Adaptation Project II and the Ministry of Education. Most of my previous jobs dealt mostly with project analysis, monitoring and appraisals therefore my keen interest is to work with development projects.

I am very happy to be one of the participants for the 2014 Australian Fellowship Training. I am sure the training will provide us with new ideas on what projects to develop and how those projects could be implemented for effective and sustainable developments of our small and remote islands.
