Glen Peters

Glen Peters is a Senior Research Fellow at the Center for International Climate and Environmental Research - Oslo (CICERO).

Dr Peters has degrees in mathematics and physics and a PhD in groundwater contamination from the University of Newcastle, Australia. From 2004-2008, Dr Peters was based at the Industrial Ecology Programme at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) in Trondheim, Norway, and since 2008 has been a Senior Research Fellow at CICERO.

Dr Peters manages and participates in a variety of research projects at the interface of science and climate policy. Most of his work has applied Multi-Region Input-Output Analysis (MRIOA) to analyse greenhouse gas emissions from the production of goods and services for international trade and final consumption (carbon footprints). More recent research focuses on simple climate models (SCMs) and emission metrics. Eventually the work on MRIOA and SCMs will be linked to enumerate the full cause-effect chain from final consumption and international trade through to a variety of climate responses such as temperature change.
