Dr Bo Meng

Bo MENG is a Research Fellow at the Institute of Developing Economies (IDE) - JETRO. He received his Ph.D. in Information Science from Tohoku University (2005), Japan. He had been sent to the OECD and USITC by IDE-JETRO in 2009 and 2013 as a visiting scholar in order to make a joint research on global value chains. He is an expert-group member of the OECD Trade in Value-Added related scientific committee from 2012.

His current research interests include international (inter-regional) input-output analyses, spatial CGE models, low-carbon economics and global value chains related issues. He is one of the co-authors of the recent joint publication by the WTO and IDE-JETRO, “Trade patterns and global value chains in East Asia: From Trade in Goods to Trade in Tasks” (2011).
