Christina Fillmed

I am known to most simply as 'Tina', and I am from Yap State in the Federated States of Micronesia. I have worked in my current capacity as Executive Director of the Yap State Environmental Protection Agency for about six years now, choosing to accept the responsibility because of my family's support and wanting to have a role and contribute towards environmental protection and conservation of my island home, currently and into the future. I enjoy the work I've been a part of because of the people I work to serve and the people that I've met and get to work with - the Micronesia and Pacific region has some of the most inspiring and dedicated people and I feel so fortunate getting to meet and work with them, or hearing of their contribution to a better Pacific region and future.
